FUNDRAISING RAFFLE CALENDAR
It’s that time of year! We are underway with our Calendar Raffle Fundraiser. For those who are unfamiliar, PLUS NEW FEATURES THIS YEAR, here’s how this works:
- First and foremost, ALL fundraisers are 100% OPTIONAL. You do NOT have to participate.
- If you do participate, you would sell calendars to family and friends for a cost of $10 each. Calendars can be sold beginning today through November 30th, 2023. CASH ONLY! Purchasing a calendar gives each person 31 chances to win a prize (and the prizes are AMAZING. Be sure to check them out)! You can submit your raffle slips and cash to the office at any time between now and 11/30/23, as long as a staff member is available to take you.
- For every calendar you sell, $5 is credited to your account. The remaining $5 is credited to our scholarship account which helps pay for some costs of dancers experiencing financial hardship.
- Beginning on December 1st, 2023, we will begin pulling a raffle slip each day of the month of December. The top prize listed on that calendar day will go to the person who purchased the raffle calendar and had their name pulled that particular day. **NEW THIS YEAR** The bottom prize listed on each calendar day will go to the dancer that sold the raffle slip pulled that day! Winners will be announced daily on our social media pages and we will contact winners by phone as well!
- Feel free to make copies of the calendars that were emailed on 10/16 or visit the office for additional copies from us!
ATTENDANCE POLICY REMINDER
Please read our attendance policy as a reminder: Once your child has 12 UNEXCUSED absences they will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO PERFORM IN RECITAL, regardless if you have already purchased the costume or any items associated with Recital. An excused absence is one where a doctor’s note is provided. Please submit documentation to the office to have your attendance marked as EXCUSED. If students are absent on a regular basis, it hinders the whole class and choreography. Some routines also require partners or assistants for stunts so if everyone is not present, it would negatively impact others. If your child habitually misses class you will be required to schedule a private lesson for the cost of $25 at the instructor’s discretion.
COOKIE DOUGH DELIVERY
Cookie Dough orders will be available to pick up ONLY ON Friday, November 17th at 4:00 PM. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR ORDER THIS DAY! WE DO NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF STORING AND REFRIGERATING COOKIE DOUGH. If you do not pick it up, it will go bad. You will be assigned a 30-minute time block to come and get your cookie dough based on the first letter of your dancer’s last name. You can send someone else to get your cookie dough. If you do not come at your assigned time you will have to wait until everyone at that time block has gotten their order. The time schedule is listed below:
4:00-4:30 A-E
4:30-5:00 F-L
5:00-5:30 M-R
5:30-6:00 S-Z
6:00-6:30 Anyone who cannot make their assigned time slots.
WE WILL NOT BE HERE ANY LATER THAN 6:30 SO PLEASE GET YOUR ORDERS.
PERSONALIZED ORDERS
A GREAT Holiday gift for your dancer is one of our Glitter personalized Pirouette Hoodies! Please use the Personalized Order link below if you wish to purchase a hoodie. You have the option to keep it a secret from your child so you can save it for a Holiday present. Price is $45 each and they come personalized with your dancer’s name on the front. COSTUME SIZING WEEK
Costume Sizing week is when I, Miss Kiirsten, will personally measure each child so we can pick out the appropriate size costume size for them. I measure the bust, hips, waist and girth and add an extra inch or so for growing room. Once I have measured every child, I will then compare the measurements to a sizing chart to pick the appropriate size for your child. You have the option to let me choose the size or you may review the size chart and select the size you want. If you want to pick your child’s size it is your responsibility to reach out to me and schedule a time for us to look at measurements. If you do not make an arrangement with me, you are forfeiting your right to choose your child’s costume size and leaving it to me.
Either way, there is a $10 exchange fee for any costume that is ordered and needs to be exchanged due to a sizing conflict. There is also a $10 fee for XL & up adult costumes.
ANGEL TAGS
We will be doing Angel Tags from the Salvation Army again this year. We should have them by the second week in November. They will be due back to the studio by Saturday, 12/9. If you are new to us, this is a program where you purchase a winter coat, based on the size and gender requested, then put in a gift back (do not wrap) and bring it back to the studio. We will then deliver them all to the Salvation Army for children in need.
COSTUMES
ALL UNPAID COSTUME MONEY IS DUE BY 12/9/23. Unfortunately, if your fees are not paid (INCLUDING TUITION), then I cannot order your child a costume and they cannot be in the Recital. Costumes are now priced at $85 each as the early bird rate expired on 10/28/23. Please keep in mind these prices are cost per costume. Please see class descriptions for an accurate count of how many dances each class performs or reference your online parent portal. There will be an additional $10 fee for an XL & up Adult costume per the costume companies. I know this is a tough time of year for people to be spending extra money but I will need to order the costumes in December to ensure their arrival for picture week and recital. There will be a $10 fee for a costume size exchange. Exchanges can only be made if the company can guarantee a ship date in time for pictures/recital.
FINALE
As usual, we will be doing a Finale routine this year to close out our recital shows.
Finale is open to the following classes:
- Combo 1 & 2
- Acro 2 & 3
- Pom 2
- Hip Hop 2
- Irish 2
- Contemporary
- Musical Theater
- All Teal Classes
- All competitive classes
There will be a $25 fee to be in the finale, due by 12/9. There will also be a costume fee of $75. You will be billed for both when you sign up. Please fill out the google form below if you want to participate. Practice times to be announced based on sign ups. We will have 3 rehearsals on Saturday afternoons in June. Dates TBA. Attendance to these rehearsals is very important. Please note there will be a mandatory make up class required for a class missed. This will be an additional fee of $10 for any make up class for material missed and the class will be roughly 30 mins. SINCE THERE ARE LIMITED REHEARSALS, IF YOU MISS MORE THAN ONE FINALE PRACTICE, YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO BE IN THE FINALE AND WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY REFUNDS. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR FINALE!
THANKSGIVING BREAK/STUDIO B RENOVATIONS
Please note, we will be closed the entire week of Thanksgiving (11/20/23 – 11/25/23) for Thanksgiving Break. Typically, we remain open on the Monday and Tuesday for all dance and fitness classes. However, we are excited to announce that we will be renovating Studio B with a brand new, state of the art flooring system! As a result, the studio will be closed the entire week to complete this renovation project. Thank you for your support and understanding.
LOST & FOUND
We normally wait until December for this Lost & Found purge but it is getting very big. Please check the lost & found as all items will be donated on Saturday, 11/18. There are many things in there so please take a look.
TOY DRIVE
HELP OUR DANCER BRIELLE COLLECT TOYS IN HONOR OF HER BROTHER, MADDOX’S MEMORY! Our Studio will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the toy drive event, benefitting the Operation Christmas Program here in Fall River! Bring in a toy now thru December 2nd and it will be given directly to the Almeida family for this cause. Thank you and please share the flyer below with others in our community!
